My research is focused on British politics, with particular interest in the role of the media and politician’s gender during election periods. By analysing data obtained from local and national press (using specially developed for this purpose electronic system) as well as conducting interviews with Members of Parliament, I am attempting to provide a broader picture to how male and female politicians are depicted in the media.  I believe that a good research should use a range of available methods to ensure its credibility, therefore in my work I employ both quantitative as well as qualitative methods.

Since we live in times that are both interesting and particularly challenging for people who - like me - study politics, I believe that months and years to come will give me the opportunity to develop my research area and provide a new dimension to the issue of gender, media and politics.
